How to get your business name to show up (instead of "Spam Likely")
A plain-English guide for DialSwarm customers. Accessed 2026-10-17. Costs change; check each link.
The goal is simple: when you call people who asked to hear from you, their phone should show who you really are. This is not about getting around filters. Carriers label numbers that look risky. These steps prove who you are. They work best when you also call only consented leads, keep volume reasonable, and honor stop requests. Nothing here guarantees a label goes away.
Step 1. Register your numbers for free (Free Caller Registry)
- What: one form that sends your numbers to the three analytics companies behind most US carrier spam labels: Hiya, First Orion and TNS.
- How: go to freecallerregistry.com, verify a business email, enter business details, list up to 20 numbers per submission, and confirm they are your own numbers.
- Cost: free. Time: about 15 minutes to submit; each company reviews on its own schedule (we could not confirm a standard review time).
- Note: registration can cut wrong labels, but does not display your name and does not guarantee removal.

Step 2. Ask your phone provider for STIR/SHAKEN "A" attestation
- What: STIR/SHAKEN is how carriers sign calls to show the number wasn't faked. "A" (full) attestation means your provider knows you and knows you're allowed to use that number.
- How: in your phone provider's console, complete a business profile (business identity, authorized representative) and attach your calling numbers to it. On Twilio this is the Trust Hub business profile. Use numbers bought from that provider; numbers from elsewhere usually get "B" attestation.
- Cost: usually included by the provider (check yours). Time: often a few business days for review (unverified; varies).
- The provider makes the attestation decision, not you.

Step 3. Set your CNAM (caller name)
- What: the up to 15-character name some carriers and landlines show.
- How: request it in your phone provider's settings for each number.
- Cost: often free or small; varies by provider. Time: providers report 24 to 72 hours to reach databases and 2 to 4 weeks for full carrier pickup.
- Many mobile phones don't show CNAM unless the receiving carrier supports it.

Step 4 (optional, paid). Branded calling
Shows your name (and sometimes logo and call reason) on mobile screens. You pay per branded call.

| First Orion INFORM | T-Mobile network mostly | About $0.124/call at 250 calls down to $0.096 at 2,500; enterprise $1,200/mo min | https://firstorion.com/inform-pricing |

Apple: Business Caller ID
- Apple Business Connect became "Apple Business" in April 2026. Branded Calling is now Business Caller ID, US only.
- Need: verified Apple Business organization (two verification methods, up to 5 business days), published brand and logo, and the phone number linked to that brand.

Suggested order and timeline
- Day 1: Free Caller Registry (free).
- Day 1: Business profile for STIR/SHAKEN with your provider.
- Day 1: Set CNAM. Expect up to a few weeks to show everywhere.
- Week 1 to 2: Apple Business verification if you call many iPhones.
- Only if you need it: paid branded calling with one vendor first.
- Test: call phones on AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile after a few days.
Good habits that matter as much
- Call only people who agreed to be called. The FCC ruled in February 2024 that AI-generated voices count as "artificial" voices under the TCPA, so consent rules apply. https://www.fcc.gov/document/fcc-confirms-tcpa-applies-ai-technologies-generate-human-voices (accessed 2026-10-17)
- The DialSwarm agent names your business up front and never claims to be human.
- Honor stop requests right away.
- Don't rotate numbers to dodge labels. Fix the cause instead.
