Set a voicemail rule

The voicemail rule tells the agent what to do when a call reaches voicemail. One message and a few calls back often works better than a message every time.

  1. Go to Campaigns and open your campaign.
  2. Open the Voicemail list and pick one: - Leave one on every try - Only on the last try - On the first and last try - Never, just hang up
  3. Click Save campaign.

The last try is set by your call schedule. When the rule says not to leave a message, the agent hangs up quietly and the Live console notes it.

What the message says

The message comes from the agent, not the campaign.

  1. Go to Agents and click Edit on the agent.
  2. Write your message in Voicemail message (optional). You can use {name}, {caller} and {company}.
  3. Click Save agent.

If you leave it blank, the agent leaves a short default message with its name, your company and the product it's pitching. Either way, the message names your business and a callback number.

Voicemails are not connected calls, so they don't count toward your billing.
